Leg 1 – 26th June:
Mandal - Fedje

The first leg starts on the morning of June 26th, outside Mandal city. After a few miles, the boats pass Lindesnes Lighhouse on starboard, and leave the south behind. The coast follows a north-west angle all the way over Jæren until the sailors reach Stavanger, where it turns slightly north. From Karmøy, an inshore route is possible, but most boats will probably continue offshore all the way to the Island Fedje, where leg 1 finishes.

Leg 2 – 28th June:
Fedje - Kristiansund

The second leg starts from Fedje in the afternoon. This leg might prove to be the most challenging, when the sailors are set to pass by Stad and then Hustadvika, both areas that increases the pulse of any experienced sailor. During the next days, the boats reach their westernmost position, as the coast starts to angle slightly north-northeast after Stad.

Leg 3 – 1st July:
Kristiansund-Sandnessjøen

Starting in Kristiansund in the morning, the sailors now start the quest toward the midnight sun. From Kristiansund they have to make immediate tactical choices, do we head out offshore, or do we sail between the island north-east before we head north? Now the boats are in Trøndelag, and follow an offshore route, at least until Folla is behind them and they may save miles by sailing Nærøysundet. As they continue north at Helgeland the nights get lighter by the mile, and the leg ends in Sandnessjøen.

Leg 4 – 4th July:
Sandnessjøen-Svolvær

The fourth leg kicks of in the afternoon offering the chance to cross the arctic circle during night hours, and the chance to experience the midnight sun. The first part offers the chance to sail the fantastic archipelago of Helgeland before the course is set to cross Vestfjorden, separating Lofoten from the mainland. The famous mountain formation Lofotveggen will be more and more visible as the sailors get closer to the final finish line in  the city of Svolvær.
